About The Position

The Family Medicine Physician will join an established outpatient practice in Madison, Maine, providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. The practice focuses on preventive medicine and chronic disease management, and the physician will incorporate Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) into care. Obstetrics is not required. Participation in addiction medicine services is optional.

The position is 100% outpatient, with approximately 16 patients per day and no hospital rounding due to a full hospitalist service. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM. Call is phone-only, shared in a 1:7 rotation. The physician will work with a collaborative team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and dedicated support staff using the Meditech EMR.

Requirements

• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Comfort providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.
• Experience or training in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT).
• Ability to diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Value preventive medicine, continuity of care, and meaningful patient relationships.
