About The Position
A well-established, community-focused healthcare organization in the Oxford, Connecticut area is actively seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join its growing Primary Care team. The organization maintains an academic affiliation with Yale School of Medicine, offering opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and professional development. New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply! The position involves providing comprehensive outpatient primary care services across the lifespan, diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, and preventive health conditions, performing annual wellness visits, routine physicals, and preventive screenings. The physician will also coordinate care with specialists and hospital-based providers, utilize EMR for accurate and timely documentation, and participate in shared call coverage (phone-only, minimal burden). Collaboration with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and care coordinators is essential, along with opportunities to engage in academic, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Eligible for Connecticut State medical licensure
- Active or eligible DEA registration
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
