About The Position

MercyOne Forest Park Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician for a busy practice with instant volume. This is a traditional outpatient family medicine role with the option to incorporate obstetrics. The practice is located adjacent to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital. The health system covers 14 counties and includes the main medical center, 7 critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa, serving a network area of approximately 260,000 people. Candidates who are BC/BE and must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible are encouraged to apply. H1B & J1 Visa candidates are also encouraged to apply. The position is eligible for PSLF.

Requirements

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school
• Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program
• Board certified or board eligible
• Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges
• Above average communication skills
• Ability to work with a team
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license
• Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate
• Must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible
