About The Position

Locums Family Practice MD needed in Coal Center, PA. This position requires experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, with a specific need for pediatric and family medicine experience. The schedule is flexible, offering a 4 or 5-day work week, with hours from Monday-Thursday 8 AM to 4 PM and Friday 8 AM to 3 PM. The role involves seeing patients in a freestanding clinic setting with no on-call duties. The physician will manage up to 18 patients per day, with 9 in the morning and 9 in the afternoon. A 30-minute lunch break is scheduled between 12 PM and 1 PM, which also includes time for paperwork. The clinic utilizes eClinical Works for EMR. Candidates recently out of training are welcome. Advanced Practice Provider (APP) mid-level coverage is available from 8 AM to 4 PM. The patient population spans all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, and the practice is busy, requiring the locum to be prepared for high patient volume and documentation. Typical cases include annual wellness visits, physicals, well-child visits, sick visits, and follow-ups from ER and hospital stays, as well as pre-operative visits. The patient demographic is 89% adults and 11% pediatrics.

Requirements

• BC/BE in Family Medicine
• BC in Internal Medicine with experience with Children and FM experience
• ACLS, BLS
• IMLC in hand (preferred)
• PA license (preferred)
