Family Medicine Physician
About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Family Medicine Physician in an outpatient clinic setting in Saint Stephen, SC. The role involves providing comprehensive outpatient primary care services to patients aged 12 and older, with a primary focus on the geriatric population. The physician will manage approximately 20 patients per day, handling preventive care, wellness visits, chronic disease management, and routine primary care procedures. The position requires the physician to work independently as the sole physician in the clinic, utilizing the eClinicalWorks EMR system. Coverage is needed from 06/22/2026 onwards, until a permanent provider is hired. The schedule is 4 days per week, with 8-hour shifts including a 1-hour unpaid lunch.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina Medical License required
- Active DEA preferred
- Fellowship required
- Clear background and no malpractice history required for temporary privileges
Nice To Haves
- Board Certification not required
- Outpatient Primary Care / Family Medicine experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to patients ages 12 and older
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Document patient encounters accurately within eClinicalWorks EMR
- Work independently as the sole physician in the clinic
- Collaborate with clinic support staff to ensure continuity of patient care
- Perform preventive care and wellness visits
- Manage chronic diseases
- Perform routine outpatient primary care procedures
