About The Position

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Family Medicine Physician (Bilingual Bengali) for a multi-specialty practice in the Bronx, New York. This role focuses on providing comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population, with an emphasis on serving the Bengali-speaking community. Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
Must have a New York State medical license.
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
Must be bilingual in Bengali or have relevant experience supporting Bengali-speaking or comparable communities.
Proficient in performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and utilizing electronic health records.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Bengali.
Strong clinical judgment, cultural competence, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive family medicine services, including routine check-ups, health screenings, immunizations, and preventive care for patients of all ages.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory infections, and other common illnesses.
Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
Educate patients and families on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and treatment options—delivering all education in both English and Bengali as needed.
Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals within the multi-specialty practice.
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
Provide culturally competent care that respects the language, beliefs, and practices of Bengali-speaking patients and their families.
Serve as a trusted medical resource for the Bengali community, helping to bridge language and cultural barriers to healthcare access.
