About The Position

Gundersen Prairie du Chien is seeking a board certified/eligible family medicine physician to practice in a rewarding rural setting while enjoying a balanced lifestyle. The position emphasizes preventive care, building lasting patient relationships, and offers support from a comprehensive team, including general surgeons on-site. The facility is well-established, offering a wide range of services such as an onsite pharmacy, behavioral health services, 3D mammography, lab, x-ray, onsite dialysis unit, and mobile MRI. Outreach specialty services include Physical Therapy, Podiatry, Cardiology, OBGYN, ENT, Cardiovascular, and Ortho. Telemedicine, including video visits, is also utilized. The community of Prairie du Chien is described as a place with small-town warmth, rich history, and a welcoming atmosphere, ideal for raising a family with a strong school system. It offers abundant outdoor activities and cultural events. The Driftless Region provides a balance of rural life and professional satisfaction, with major cities like Madison, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis within a few hours' drive.

Requirements

  • Board certified/eligible in Family Medicine.
  • Completed an accredited graduate medical training program.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in the multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.
