About The Position
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) is seeking a Family Medicine - Open Rank/Open Track Faculty member. This position is split 50% clinical and 50% research. Clinical duties involve direct patient care, teaching and supervision of Family Medicine residents and medical students, and coverage of other clinical services as needed. Research support includes 3 years of departmental support to facilitate the development of an independently funded research program, with the expectation of funding 50% of research salary support by year 3. Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- A strong commitment to research, patient care, medical student, and resident education
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- A history of extramural funding and peer reviewer publication and other scholarship is preferred
