Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient setting in McKinleyville, CA. The role involves providing high-quality primary care services to both pediatric and adult patients, managing a panel of approximately 18 patients per day. The NP will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely medical records, with chart closure required within 72 hours. Collaboration with a support staff of RNs and MAs is essential for efficient clinic operations. The coverage period is ASAP and ongoing, with a Mon-Fri, 8a-5p shift schedule. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- Licensed in CA
- Active DEA required
- BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar setting of panel management preferred
- NPs must have a Furnishing License with Schedule II; PAs must have CA Controlled Substance Education Course Certificate
- Must provide proof of required immunizations (Flu, TB, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap)
