About The Position

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth has an exciting APN opportunity in our Family Medicine clinic on Archer Ave. in Chicago. This role will be part clinical and part administrative. The clinic sees acute patients only, with approximately 8 patients per day. The schedule is 5 days per week with rotating Saturdays. Administrative duties include triaging EMR inboxes, refilling medications, and reviewing labs and controlled substances. This role will also provide coverage for physicians on PTO and medical leave, including EPIC Inbox management for assigned physicians.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of APP experience, required
• Must be able to work independently and in collaboration with attending Physician
• Must have experience in full spectrum Family Medicine
• Master's degree in Nursing
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• ACLS Certification, required
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Responsibilities
