About The Position
This contract role offers an opportunity to work as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner in Reno, NV, providing care during weekday shifts with a consistent schedule.
Requirements
- Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner experience
- Ability to prescribe medications and manage medication therapy within state scope of practice
- Experience ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical studies
- Experience managing chronic conditions
- Experience providing preventive care
- Experience providing women's, men's, adolescent, and geriatric primary care
- Experience evaluating and treating minor injuries, infections, respiratory illnesses, and other common conditions
- Experience performing or assisting with office-based procedures
- Experience monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans
- Experience coordinating referrals to specialists and other healthcare professionals
- Experience reviewing and communicating diagnostic results with patients
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR)
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses.
- Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
- Prescribe medications and manage medication therapy within state scope of practice.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical studies.
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, and hyperlipidemia.
- Provide preventive care, including physical examinations, health screenings, and immunizations.
- Provide women's, men's, adolescent, and geriatric primary care.
- Evaluate and treat minor injuries, infections, respiratory illnesses, and other common conditions.
- Provide patient education regarding nutrition, exercise, medications, lifestyle changes, and disease prevention.
- Perform or assist with appropriate office-based procedures.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare professionals.
- Review and communicate diagnostic results with patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR).
