About The Position

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring an Advanced Practice Nurse for its Family Medicine clinic on Archer Avenue in Chicago. The role combines clinical and administrative work. The clinician will see acute patients only, approximately eight patients per day, and provide coverage for physicians during paid time off, medical leave, and other absences. Administrative duties include managing assigned physicians’ EPIC inboxes, triaging messages, refilling medications, reviewing laboratory results, and handling controlled substances. The schedule is five days per week with rotating Saturdays. Spanish-language skills are preferred to support patient access and the patient experience. The stated annual salary is $115,000–$125,000.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of advanced practice provider experience.
• Experience across the full spectrum of Family Medicine.
• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association, obtained before the hire or job transfer date.
• Required ACLS certification.
• Nurse Practitioner credential from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, obtained before the hire or job transfer date.
• Drug Enforcement Administration credential.
