Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Foundation Health Partners is actively recruiting an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to join our Outpatient Family Medicine Team. Join a family medicine clinic with more than 60 years of history serving the Fairbanks community. The clinic is part of a large multidisciplinary health system and provides care to patients across the full lifespan, from newborns to geriatrics. Our providers manage a broad range of acute concerns as well as ongoing chronic conditions. Practicing at our clinic within a rural health system allows providers to maintain a broad scope of practice and take a more active role in managing complex patient care. The clinic environment is collaborative, with family medicine physicians and advanced practice providers working together to support the needs of the community.
Requirements
- Completion of a master’s degree in nursing.
- Approved to practice as a Family NP (FNP) by the State Board of Nursing by proof of license/certification.
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- Certified to practice by the State Board of Nursing within a particular population as a nurse practitioner.
- Personal DEA license or must have prescribing and dispensing authority granted by the state board of nursing.
- Exhibits an exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management.
Nice To Haves
- DNP or PhD preferred.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage a broad range of acute concerns as well as ongoing chronic conditions.
- Take a more active role in managing complex patient care.
- Partner with physicians to manage patient care within a care team model.
