About The Position

Central Vermont Medical Center is seeking a collaborative and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Family Medicine team in Montpelier, Vermont. Requirements

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (for NPs).
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (for NPs).
Current National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (for NPs).
Active Vermont APRN license with eligibility for prescriptive authority (for NPs).
Providers must be eligible to obtain New York licensure to support telemedicine visits for patients located in New York.
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program (for PAs).
Current National Certification as a PA (for PAs).
Active Vermont PA license with eligibility for prescriptive authority (for PAs).
Providers must be eligible to obtain New York licensure to support telemedicine visits for patients located in New York.
Passion for patient-centered care and team-based practice.

Nice To Haves

Primary care experience is preferred, but not required. New graduate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages.
Perform history and physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive health visits.
Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in an outpatient setting.
Prescribe medications and coordinate appropriate ancillary services.
Conduct in-person and telemedicine visits as appropriate.
Build long-term relationships with patients and families while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated patient care.
