About The Position

Froedtert South has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a dynamic and supportive Family Practice clinic. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will work to support and evaluate patients in the clinic setting. Inpatient rounds are not required. The full-time position includes shift variability, with a minimum of 32 patient contact hours, 8 hours of administrative medical documentation time, and 30-minute appointment intervals. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with the supervising physician in the clinic setting, follow through with the physician’s treatment plans, review and evaluate test results, accurately document medical care plans, and complete patient follow up care. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will have access to a comprehensive team including the supervising physician, clinical nurses, medical assistants, and patient access specialists, ensuring patients receive excellent care.

Requirements

  • Masters in Physician Assistant Studies or Master of Nurse Practitioner Studies or Doctor of Nurse Practitioner
  • Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or successful completion of a master, post-master, or doctorate degree from an Adult Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or successfully pass one of the national certification examinations consistent with the applicant's educational specialty and administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Certification
  • Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Wisconsin or current license to practice as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber in the State of Wisconsin
