About The Position

DocStar Medical Partners is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for an outpatient facility in Maine. This is a 6-month assignment starting on 8/25/2026 and ending on 2/26/2027. The provider will work a schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM, and Thursday from 10 AM to 7 PM, with 4 hours of administrative work on Mondays. The patient volume is expected to be 18-20 patients per day. Procedures include basic family medicine, such as wellness exams, treating colds and flu, chronic care management, diabetes care, and weight management. This role is described as bread and butter primary care. The EMR system used is athenaOne. The facility will wait for the provider to obtain their Maine license. Required certifications include BC, DEA, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross). Relevant experience in family medicine, rural healthcare, and FQHC settings is needed. The provider will be supported by an RN, LPN, or MA.

Requirements

• Valid ME license (facility will wait for license).
• BC certification.
• DEA certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• Experience in family medicine.
• Experience in rural healthcare settings.
• Experience in FQHC settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic family medicine procedures including wellness exams, treatment for cold and flu, chronic care management, diabetes care, and weight management.
• Provide bread and butter primary care.
• Complete administrative tasks as assigned.
