About The Position
The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a PRN Family Medicine NP or PA to provide care at our unique Migrant Farmworker Program in Fort Dodge! The Migrant Farmworker Program serves farmworkers who perform difficult labor and have demanding schedules, often facing language barriers and transportation issues. Clinics are scheduled in locations and at times convenient for the workers, offering vital exams, blood pressure checks, height and weight measurements, blood profiling for anemia, cholesterol, and diabetes, and complete physical exams. The role involves providing basic primary care at brick-and-mortar clinics and mobile clinic sites to a primarily adult patient population. Occasional coverage of clinic hours in the Webster County region may be required, with a work vehicle and travel hours provided.
Requirements
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Iowa or Licensed Physician Assistant in the state of Iowa.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly desired.
Responsibilities
- Provide care at the Migrant Farmworker Program.
- Conduct vital exams including blood pressure, temperature, height, and weight.
- Perform blood profiling to check for anemia, cholesterol, and diabetes.
- Conduct complete physical exams.
- See basic primary care patients at brick-and-mortar clinics and mobile clinic sites.
- Occasionally cover clinic hours in the Webster County region as needed.
