About The Position
A well-established, not-for-profit community hospital is seeking a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join its outpatient practice in Oxford, Connecticut. Candidates with a background in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine will be considered. This is a full-time, permanent outpatient position providing comprehensive primary care services to patients across all age groups. The role focuses on preventive care, chronic disease management, and continuity of care in a patient-centered environment. Both experienced physicians and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active Connecticut medical license (or eligibility)
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups
- Perform annual physicals, wellness visits, and routine health screenings
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with specialists and interdisciplinary care teams for coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care delivery
- Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices
