Family Medicine Physician - Waterbury, CT
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a role focused on wound management in the post-acute care setting. Physicians will provide bedside wound care in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. The role offers significant clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance, with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will receive specialized training in wound management, becoming experts in the field and utilizing cutting-edge technologies. The practice is mobile, covering a 40-60 mile radius and visiting 2-3 facilities per day to treat approximately 20-30 patients. Clinical documentation is performed in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
- Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice
- Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside wound care in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
- Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
- Perform clinical documentation in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
- Participate in physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship.
