Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP)
About The Position
Weiser Memorial Hospital is hiring an advanced practice provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for its Family Medical Center. This role is responsible for providing quality medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages, aiming to restore, maintain, and improve health. The provider will work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring high-quality care while upholding patient confidentiality, clear communication, and professionalism. Key duties include diagnosis, clinical judgment, and management within the scope of practice. This involves performing history and physical exams, managing acute and episodic care, ordering and interpreting lab and diagnostic studies, and collaborating with other medical professionals. The provider will also delegate tasks as appropriate and engage in problem-solving and conflict resolution to foster a positive team dynamic. As a member of Weiser Memorial Hospital, the provider is expected to adhere to service excellence standards, provide compassionate care, and comply with hospital policies and safety protocols. The position offers access to a wide range of additional local services, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, and Podiatry, for consultation and collaboration.
Requirements
- Graduation from a school with current licensure from Idaho to practice as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner
- Current Federal DEA and Idaho Controlled Substance License.
- Current BLS. ACLS, PALS certifications within one year of hire.
- Scope of practice is related directly to the PA's or NP's supervising physician and Idaho laws and CMS Conditions of Participation.
- Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit(s) area(s) or assignment.
- Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
- Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit(s) area(s) of assignment.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in family medicine and/or graduate of Residency Program.
