About The Position

A family of four in Venice Beach is looking for a Family Manager to run their home with real ownership and warmth. Both parents run businesses and travel frequently. Their two children, ages 10 and 12, speak Polish, Russian, and English. The home is beautiful, the pace is active, and the family is looking for someone special to make it all run smoothly. This is not a traditional nanny or housekeeper role. The family is looking for a true Family Manager — someone who takes the home on as their own domain and runs it without needing to be directed. The kind of person who notices the olive oil is almost out and picks some up. Who sees the garden getting overgrown, finds a great gardener, interviews them, hires them, and reports back after it's handled. Who keeps the children's schedules in their head and makes sure nobody misses hockey, music lessons, or the orthodontist. The right candidate walks into a room and instinctively sees what needs to happen. They love making a home feel calm, warm, and well-run. Mornings begin with getting the children ready and driving them to school (close by). After drop-off, the home is the Family Manager's domain — laundry, tidying, cooking, groceries, errands, weekly planning. Afternoons include pickup, hockey practice, music lessons, and homework time. Dinner should be something healthy and genuinely delicious. Evenings may include playing cards with the kids, or simply being a steady, warm presence in their day. The Family Manager is the person who knows what's coming up. School forms, doctor visits, hockey tournaments, music lesson make-ups, birthday party RSVPs — it all lives with them, and nothing slips. They lead communication with the school and teachers. When something at home needs fixing or maintaining, they find the right vendor, vet them, hire them, and oversee the work — bringing the parents the result, not the process.
