About The Position
The Family Learning Advocate will work within the Family Support Center to provide support and resources to families. This role requires bilingual proficiency and involves assisting families with various needs to promote learning and well-being.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish preferred).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working with families or in a support role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience in a school or community center setting.
- Knowledge of local community resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and resources to families.
- Facilitate learning opportunities for families.
- Collaborate with community partners and internal staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Conduct outreach to engage families in center programs.
- Assist families in navigating available services.
- Translate and interpret as needed for bilingual families.
