About The Position

Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal with strong Florida family law experience to join our growing Fort Lauderdale office. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused professional who takes ownership of their work, follows through without constant supervision, and values high standards of professionalism and service. In this position, you will play an important role in helping clients navigate meaningful life transitions while supporting attorneys with accuracy, efficiency, and strong communication. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment where discretion, accountability, and sound judgment matter. Requirements

  • Florida family law paralegal experience.
  • Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program.
  • Strong proficiency with legal research tools, Microsoft Office, and case management systems.
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish.
  • Able to consistently meet or exceed monthly billable hour expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
  • Experience preparing financial affidavits using Family Law Software.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in hearings, mediations, or trial preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, prepare, and revise family law documents, including petitions, motions, financial disclosures, discovery responses, and related pleadings.
  • File documents with the court and coordinate service with process servers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical case files so documents, deadlines, and communications are easy to access.
  • Track case timelines, discovery deadlines, and upcoming hearings to keep matters moving efficiently.
  • Manage discovery materials, organize incoming records, and assist with preparing polished, complete document sets.
  • Stay ahead of case needs through proactive case management and strong follow-through.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, collect required documents, and provide clear updates throughout their case.
  • Help clients understand procedural steps and feel informed, supported, and respected.
  • Maintain a clear, professional, and client-service oriented approach in every interaction.
  • Listen carefully, communicate directly, and help ensure clients receive timely support.
  • Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and supporting materials.
  • Coordinate with clients and witnesses as needed to ensure attorneys are fully prepared.
  • Use legal technology tools such as Clio, Family Law Software, and legal research platforms to support case progress.
  • Contribute to a well-organized team environment by anticipating needs and staying one step ahead.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly billable hour expectations.
