Family Law Paralegal
About The Position
HHM Talent is assisting a law firm client in their search for a Family Law Paralegal in Memphis, TN. Our client is seeking an experienced, highly organized and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join their team. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys and clients to assist with the management of cases that include divorce, child support, child custody, contempt, orders of protection and modifications. The ideal candidate is well organized, professional, dependable, compassionate and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail and maintaining client confidentiality. This is an in-office role in Memphis, TN. Candidates must be willing to commute or relocate to be considered.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in family law, handling high-volume case load.
- Must have working knowledge of the Court's electronic filing system (eFlex) and Court compliance procedures.
- Independent thinker who can problem solve and anticipate attorney and client's needs.
Nice To Haves
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Experience with Arkansas court system is a plus.
- Experience with document management system, NetDocs, and practice management software, MyCase is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling client appointments, scheduling consultations, communicating with opposing counsel, Courts and other professionals.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, exhibits and other legal documents.
- Assist with drafting and filing Court documents.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, monitor deadlines, hearings, mediations, discovery deadlines and other important dates.
