About The Position
DIAMOND AND DIAMOND is seeking a competent, energetic, and experienced Part-Time Family Law Paralegal for in-person employment, working with our team of family law attorneys and other paraprofessionals in a fast-paced small firm environment. This is not an entry-level position. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience level and hours of employment sought.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in family law.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and family law procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in document preparation.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys and the firm's paraprofessional office staff with handling all aspects of the firm's client matters
- Drafting, editing, and filing legal documents, including pleadings, court applications, and correspondence electronically with the Court System
- Assist in organizing client files and maintaining client files in an organized manner ( paper and electronic files)
- Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts, as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks to support the legal team.
