About The Position

The Superior Court of Arizona in and for the County of Yavapai is accepting applications for a Family Law Commissioner. The salary is $180,000/year. The full-time position is expected to start November 3, 2026. The Family Law Commissioner shall perform duties pursuant to A.R.S. §12-298. The Judge Pro Tempore shall perform duties pursuant to A.R.S. §12-144(D) and serve as assigned by the Presiding Judge. Duties are subject to change. Travel between Prescott and Camp Verde may be required. The Judge Pro Tempore will be appointed by the Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court upon the request of the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court and subject to the approval of the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, in accordance with Article VI, Section 31, of the Constitution of the State of Arizona, and ARS 12-141. The Judge Pro Tempore is subject to assignment in any location in Yavapai County as needed. The position is paid by County funds, federal grant funds, and court fees and continuation is subject to funding availability.

Requirements

  • Must meet the requirements of ARS §12-213(B) and 12-142 and Article VI, Section 22, of the Constitution of the State of Arizona.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as assigned by the Presiding Judge.
  • Perform duties pursuant to A.R.S. §12-144(D).
  • Travel between Prescott and Camp Verde may be required.
  • Subject to assignment in any location in Yavapai County as needed.
