About The Position
A well-established statewide law firm is building its Family Law practice in San Jose and is seeking a dedicated attorney to join the team. This is a chance to contribute to a growing office while working in a supportive, professional environment that values quality advocacy and career development. The candidate selected for this role will manage a variety of family law cases from intake through resolution. Candidates must have at least 2 years of direct family law experience to be considered for this opportunity.
Requirements
- J.D. and active license with the California Bar
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in family law or related litigation
- Strong courtroom presence, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Client-focused professional who is motivated to grow with the firm
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in divorce, custody, child/spousal support, and domestic violence proceedings
- Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and provide informed guidance to clients
- Appear in court for hearings, trials, and settlement conferences
- Negotiate fair and effective resolutions
- Maintain organized case files and timely client communication
- Collaborate with attorneys and professional staff to ensure exceptional service
