About The Position

This role involves representing clients in family law matters, including Special Juvenile Immigrant cases. The attorney will be responsible for all aspects of case management, from initial client contact through trial and negotiation. This includes drafting legal documents, conducting research, interviewing witnesses, preparing cases for discovery and trial, making court appearances, and negotiating agreements. The attorney will also collaborate with other legal professionals within the firm and maintain consistent communication with clients.

Requirements

• Current member in good standing with the Colorado bar
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous family law experience
• Previous experience with Special Juvenile Immigrant cases
• Spanish speaking preferred

Responsibilities

• Draft correspondence and pleadings
• Conduct research and maintain competence
• Engage in client communication and counseling
• Conduct witness interviews and prep
• Prepare cases for discovery and trial
• Make court appearances
• Negotiate and draft agreements
• Communicate with opposing counsel and the courts
• Work closely with managing attorney, partner attorneys, other associates, and paralegals
• Develop case strategies and tactics to effectively represent clients
• Communicate consistently with clients
