Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Florida family law
- Comfortable in a courtroom
- Strong writer and negotiator
- Ability to hold your own in contested matters without losing the human touch
- Ability to manage a busy docket without dropping details
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
Nice To Haves
- Spanish-language ability
- Mediation certification
- Prior solo/small-firm experience running your own cases
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of family law matters — divorce, child custody, child support, timesharing, and related issues — from intake through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Develop case strategy and deliver practical, grounded legal advice that helps clients navigate difficult moments.
