The Title I Family Engagement Liaison at Wesley Lakes Elementary is responsible for managing the Parent Resource Center, developing parent training materials, and assisting parents in understanding various educational components like Title I, ESSA, report cards, and assessments. This role involves maintaining accurate data, submitting documentation, and collaborating with state and federal programs. The liaison will coordinate academic workshops, maintain communication with families and staff, and organize documentation for meetings. They will also conduct professional learning for staff on parent engagement, manage surveys and evaluations, and work with administration to develop an event calendar. Additionally, the liaison will assist in developing and revising the Parent and Family Engagement Plan and School-Family Compact, serve as a liaison between the school and the Federal Programs Department, and participate in teacher conferences to help parents understand student progress. They will also connect families with community resources and develop partnerships with social agencies and parent organizations. This position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for experience in Title I programs, federal programs, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite. The role demands exceptional integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical standards, with the ability to be reliably present at the worksite and perform tasks involving prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision, hearing, and communication skills are essential.
