About The Position

Capital Area Head Start is seeking a part-time Early Head Start Family Educator to support its mission of making a difference in the lives of children, empowering parents, and strengthening families. The role collaborates with inclusive education and support teams to provide comprehensive home-based services and ensure continuity of services for enrolled expectant families and children ages 0–3. The position offers a flexible part-time schedule and pays a minimum of $18.42 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a Home Visitor Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) within one year of hire.
• Experience working with young children and families, providing knowledge of early childhood development, family services, and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word and Outlook and learn web-based systems.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a properly insured vehicle or public transportation.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including Criminal History, MVR, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances.
• Passion, enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to making a difference.
