About The Position

Auberle is seeking a Family Drug and Alcohol Counselor to join their team at the Family Healing Center. This is an innovative residential treatment program for families struggling with substance use disorder (SUD). The program is a licensed 3.5 Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility that provides comprehensive services to support families, allowing multiple adults and up to four children to stay together while the individual with addiction receives treatment. This role is integral to a unique program designed to promote positive work/life balance for its staff.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or above in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other related field
  • 2 years of clinical experience in a human service agency
  • Current drug and alcohol counseling license (preference given, Auberle is open to helping qualified candidates obtain licensure)
  • Individuals identified or diagnosed with an alcohol or other drug dependence must be abstinent for at least two (2) years prior to employment and remain abstinent throughout employment
  • Pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random drug screens
  • ACT 33/34 and FBI Clearances
  • Pre-Employment, Full COVID-19 vaccination required within 30 days of hire
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented systems of care
  • Understanding of and respect for everyone’s unique path to recovery
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, and the Windows environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Preference given for those who possess a current drug and alcohol counseling license
  • Preference given to individuals with lived experience around substance use or co-occurring disorder

  • Role modeling for clients and staff

  • Operating program van/vehicle as needed
  • Physically assisting families with moving into and out of the residential facility, including lifting, carrying, and moving objects and packages.
