About The Position

The Family Development Supervisor oversees the licensing/certification of resource/foster parents, ensuring that families are prepared to meet the needs of children and their families receiving foster care placement at Bethanna. The Family Development Supervisor oversees, pre-service training content and delivery; the mutual assessment homestudy interview process; gathering of supporting and required documentation and the process to approve or disapprove foster/resource parent applicants. The Family Development Supervisor ensures that families who may be disapproved are informed of their appeal rights and processes any appeals through to resolution.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Minimum of two years experience in case work.
• Experience working in the child welfare system is highly preferred.
• Experience in performing the functions of this position description, particularly the essential duties is also highly preferred.
