About The Position

Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee in Chicopee, MA is looking to hire a full-time Family & Community Engagement Coordinator. This nonprofit program coordinator position offers a competitive salary of $21.00-$27.50 per hour, with placement in the range based on a combination of relevant education, experience, qualifications, certifications, and demonstrated skills. Requirements

  • Associates Degree Required or a minimum of three (3) years equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a non-profit organization is preferred
  • Experience working with youth organizations preferred
  • Computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
  • Excellent leadership, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to deal with the general public
  • Maintain a high energy level
  • Be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects
  • Must be deemed suitable after initial and subsequent Background Record Checks
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets the Organizations insurance and vehicle operation requirements
  • Willingness to comply with company policy regarding background checks

Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that strengthen relationships between the Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee, our members, their families, and the community.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between the Club, volunteers, community partners, schools, and the public, fostering meaningful connections that increase family engagement, expand volunteer involvement, and promote the Club's mission through outreach, events, and communications.
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with local schools, businesses, civic organizations, and community agencies.
  • Coordinating volunteer recruitment, orientation, scheduling, and recognition.
  • Managing the Club's social media presence.
  • Overseeing facility rentals.
  • Supporting marketing and development efforts.
  • Assisting with organization-wide events and fundraising initiatives that increase community awareness and support for the Club's mission.
  • Serving as the lead staff member for the Club on Wheels mobile program.
  • Safely operating and driving the Club on the Go vehicle.
  • Planning, coordinating, and facilitating engaging activities that bring the Boys & Girls Club experience directly into the community.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the mobile program.
  • Ensuring the vehicle, equipment, and supplies are organized and ready for programming.
  • Collaborating with community partners to schedule outreach opportunities.
  • Creating safe, fun, and inclusive experiences that promote youth development, family engagement, and community connection.
  • Being on the lookout for potential hazards or dangerous situations to ensure the safety of members and staff.
  • Attending regular training to keep knowledge fresh and become the best resource.
