Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field.
• At least 1 consecutive year of child welfare experience
• Experience working with children and families in social services context
• Organization and strong time management skills
• Valid driver's license with properly registered and insured vehicle
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Assessing the family and child(ren) using the Family Strengths and Needs Guide and Child Strengths and Needs Guide while helping the family develop a plan to mitigate the safety threats when safety threats are identified.
• Developing a Family Service Plan with the family that addresses the identified needs related to risk and safety of a caseload of up to 12 families.
• Reviewing the progress on the Family Service Plan with the family.
• Assisting the family in building a support network and facilitating Family Team Meetings.
• Assisting the family in managing crisis situations and referring families to resources or services.
