About The Position

The Family and Housing Support Coach is a part-time, two year grant-funded position responsible for supporting families experiencing housing instability through a combination of case management, housing navigation, and data coordination. This role works across the homelessness and housing stability programs at Mile High United Way, providing direct support to families while strengthening system coordination and tracking outcomes. This position is ideal for someone who is highly relational, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing direct service with administrative and systems-level work.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth or young adults in the following sectors: school districts, juvenile justice, mental health, law enforcement and human service agencies.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience providing supportive services to underserved communities.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
  • Strong understanding of youth development factors.
  • Strong ties and understanding of community resources.
  • Strong case management and/or coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Creative and flexible nature.
  • Must also successfully meet and maintain Mile High United Way's driving criteria.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.

Nice To Haves

  • Some College or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide strengths-based, trauma-informed case management to families experiencing housing instability or at risk of homelessness
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans in partnership with families
  • Connect families to community resources, including financial assistance, employment services, education supports, and basic needs
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up to support progress toward stability goals
  • Serve as a liaison between families, property managers, and housing providers
  • Support families in identifying, applying for, and securing safe and stable housing
  • Assist with lease navigation, landlord communication, and addressing barriers to housing placement
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to align housing resources and opportunities
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed case notes and documentation in required data systems
  • Track service delivery, housing outcomes, and key performance indicators
  • Support grant reporting requirements by ensuring data quality and completeness
  • Utilize data to inform case planning and program improvements
