About The Position

This position involves teaching Family and Consumer Science (FCS) to students. The role requires creating a positive learning environment, instructing students individually or in groups, developing and integrating lesson plans, and establishing positive relationships with students. The teacher will also be responsible for maintaining standards of behavior and communicating effectively with school staff and parents. This is a benefit-eligible position with 7.5 hours per day.

Requirements

• Current Minnesota teaching license required
• Successful background check required
• Thorough knowledge of subject(s) taught
• Thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching
• Ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students and parents
• Ability to communicate effectively with school staff and parents
• Exemplifies compassion, respect, responsibility, self-discipline and honesty
