We are seeking fall co-ops across several Sales Support roles (including but not limited to the following: Claims Initiative Specialist, Customer Service Representative, Sales Operation, Sales & Distribution, etc.). Be part of a professional and tenured Insurance sales team where your knowledge will grow within the months that you will be with us. Tasks will be varied and challenging. Anything from calling Advisors to running insurance illustrations and reports. Your fresh outlook and skills will be a welcome addition to the region. What will you do? Performing research and providing answers for customer generated inquiries. Contributing to defined projects or tasks under direct supervision. Documenting processes or upgrading existing procedure manuals. Developing product or service knowledge and competence in tools and business processes used in the department. Client correspondence, conducting telephone personal contacts (TPC’s), emails Caseload reassignments, and distributing follow-up reports to the Claims Specialists Updating all systems with caseload changes and follow-up dates Reviewing files for existing offsets and pursuing offsets, as required Calling in regards to policies that have been issued but not settled. Courtesy calls to Advisors Helping to create newsletters Run Illustrations and analyze Run reports to assist with sales Attending webinars and making follow up calls

Requirements

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
  • Working towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, CFA, or other related field
  • Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical, communication and problem solving skills
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail and very high level of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to think critically and “outside the box”

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and an understanding of business administration
  • Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Products, including Excel (including using Excel as a tool for financial analysis) Word, PowerPoint
  • Previous experience working with a Financial/Insurance Institution
