About The Position

Become a Fall Outdoor Education Program Leader and use your passion to make a positive difference in the public's lives as part of our dedicated Education Services team. Share your knowledge and passion for the natural environment with diverse audiences, including children and adults. Apply today to join our team this fall and work alongside Education Coordinators to implement environmental education programs, including School Field Studies, School and Community Outreach, and Special Events at various Conservation Areas within the County! The Fall Education Seasonal role also has the unique opportunity to assist with our award-winning Special Event, the Great Outdoors Beer Trail.

Requirements

  • At least six months of experience working with children and/or leading conservation-related programs.
  • Some post-high school education or specialized training in Environmental Education, Interpretation, or a related field.
  • A current and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability of hiking up to 3 miles while transporting educational supplies.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes some evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Implement environmental education programs, including School Field Studies, School and Community Outreach, and Special Events at various Conservation Areas within the County.
  • Assist with the Great Outdoors Beer Trail special event.
  • Work with diverse audiences, including children and adults.
  • Travel and work between different sites.
