Fall Intern - Membership
About The Position
The New York City Ballet Membership team is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible intern. Under the guidance of a seasoned Membership team member, the individual in this position will gain practical work experience in the areas of development and donor relations. This internship will provide a great opportunity to experience how a Membership and Development department operate within a non-profit performing arts organization. Requirements
- Must have a high level of professionalism and strong attention to detail.
- Must be a currently enrolled student in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program or have graduated from such a program within the past 12 months.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) a plus
- Interest in Development and Arts Administration
- Knowledge of NYCB a plus
Responsibilities
- Learn how to correspond with donors over the phone, acting as an initial point of contact in Membership office, assisting with annual gift renewals and voicemail inquiries
- Assist the Membership team with printing and mailing acknowledgment letters, donor ID cards, and premiums
- Assist with Membership mail and email marketing campaigns
- Assist with proofing of annual donor welcome packet materials
- Help maintain the Individual Giving team’s brochure inventory in the theater lobby
- Support the Membership and Patron Program teams with other administrative support as needed
- Attend staff meetings and events whenever support is necessary
