About The Position

At Fairmont Chateau Whistler, unparalleled service and luxury await guests of Fairmont Gold, our exclusive “hotel within a hotel” experience. As Fairmont Gold Captain you will bring our exceptional Fairmont Gold standards to life. This is a full-time, permanent position STARTING IN SEPTEMBER 2026. Starting rate of pay: $26.25 per hour. We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $31.25.

Requirements

• Previous customer related supervisory experience preferred
• Food Safe Certification is required
• Serving It Right Qualification Required
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Lead service in the Fairmont Gold Lounge and ensure menu and food presentation is in keeping with Fairmont Gold standards
• Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
• Provide exceptional information to our Guests about local and area attractions
