Failure Analysis
About The Position
This role involves performing Category I Services level failure analysis. The engineer will conduct 'Level 1' (system-level) triage and support internal Business Units (BUs) with 'Level 2' (module-level) fault isolation for both field returns and internal escalations. The position requires the use of various analytical tools and techniques, including electrical debug (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, soldering station), X-ray/CT, optical microscopy, thermography, device/component photography, and functional testing. Additionally, the engineer will maintain and update lab receiving tools to accommodate New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by modifying script parameters for new products.
Requirements
- Experience with electrical debug using multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, and soldering station.
- Proficiency with X-ray/CT, optical microscopy, and thermography.
- Skills in device/component photography and functional testing.
- Ability to modify script parameters for new products.
