Faculty Part-Time - School of Education

UMass Lowell•Lowell, MA

About The Position

The School of Education seeks qualified part-time adjunct instructors with expertise in one or more of these areas: artificial intelligence in education; disability and special education; multilingual education; reading and literacy; STEM education; research-practice partnerships; curriculum development; teaching methods; teacher education; program evaluation; quantitative research methods; educational statistical modeling; and qualitative research methods. Teaching assignments may be in the Bachelor of Education (BAEd), UTeach, master’s, Ed.D., and Ph.D. programs, depending on qualifications, expertise, and program needs. Course delivery varies by program: BAEd courses are primarily face-to-face, master’s courses are primarily online asynchronously, and Ph.D. courses may be face-to-face or online asynchronously. This posting establishes a continuous pool of qualified adjunct faculty for potential teaching assignments. Inclusion in the pool does not guarantee an appointment; applications will be reviewed as instructional needs arise. Review begins immediately and continues until the position is filled, but the position may close once an adequate number of qualified applications is received. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, cover letter, and names and contact information for three professional references. The cover letter should identify the areas and program levels for which the applicant is qualified, as well as relevant teaching, professional, research, or methodological experience. This is a part-time, non-benefited position represented by the Union of Adjunct Faculty, Local 1596, UAW. Salary rates are listed in the Adjunct Faculty salary chart.
