About The Position
The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-Texarkana (UACCHT) is seeking a Faculty member for the Welding program within the Business Trade and Industrial Department. This is a Faculty - Non-Tenure, Regular, Full-Time position. The role involves teaching both classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction, maintaining a safe learning environment, and collaborating with local industries and other technical instructors to enhance the college's technical offerings.
Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in the welding industry.
- Proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG).
- Experience in Welding Technology, Industrial Technology, General Technology, or a related field.
- Comparable formal education or training, including military training, may also be considered.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with oxy-fuel cutting.
- Experience with plasma cutting.
- Experience with blueprint reading.
- Experience with fabrication.
- Experience with welding safety practices.
- Industry certifications such as American Welding Society (AWS) certifications.
Responsibilities
- Teach both classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction in welding.
- Maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
- Work with local industries and instructors in other technical areas to further the technical offerings at University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-Texarkana.
