About The Position

The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-Texarkana (UACCHT) is seeking a Faculty member for the Business Trade and Industrial Department. This is a Faculty - Non-Tenure, Regular, Full-Time position. The role involves teaching both classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction in welding, maintaining a safe and productive learning environment, and collaborating with local industries and other technical instructors to enhance the college's technical offerings.

Requirements

Three to five years of experience in the welding industry.
Experience in Welding Technology, Industrial Technology, General Technology, or a related field is required.
Comparable formal education or training, including military training, may also be considered.
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with oxy-fuel cutting, plasma cutting, blueprint reading, fabrication, and welding safety practices.
Industry certifications such as American Welding Society (AWS) certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG).
Experience with oxy-fuel cutting, plasma cutting, blueprint reading, fabrication, and welding safety practices is preferred.
Demonstrate the ability to teach both classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction.
Maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
Work with local industries and instructors in other technical areas to further the technical offerings at University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-Texarkana.
