About The Position

George K. Thiruvathukal leads the Software and Systems Laboratory at Loyola University Chicago. His work is at the intersection of computer science, data science, and software engineering with a focus on computer vision at the edge. In the summer project, we will continue to work on large-scale repository mining to understand trustworthiness of machine learning supply chains for pre-trained models. We also have an existing project focused on energy-efficient visual transformer architectures for computer vision. As ALCF is a great place to work with AI testbeds and emerging architectures and work with large computational and storage resources, it is well-suited to both of these research efforts.
