About The Position

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital's Center of Excellence in Neuro-Oncology Sciences (CENOS) within the Developmental Neurobiology Department is seeking a research faculty member at the assistant/associate member rank (equivalent to assistant or associate professor). CENOS is dedicated to addressing fundamental biological questions and driving clinically impactful discoveries to improve survival outcomes for children with malignant brain tumors. The successful applicant will lead a multidisciplinary research program focused on advancing the understanding of malignant childhood brain tumors through innovative approaches in fundamental biology, neuroscience, neuro-immunology, metabolism, data science, and related fields. This includes expertise in mechanistic and translational research, such as developing human stem cell and organoid models, applying multi-omics technologies, utilizing cancer neuroscience strategies, investigating neuro-immune interactions and metabolic dependencies, evaluating selective dependencies, and applying advanced data science methodologies. Early career investigators are encouraged to apply to contribute to a culture of excellence at St. Jude. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a world-class research institution focused on pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases of childhood, holding the highest possible ranking of "exceptional" from the NCI. It offers a highly interactive environment with long-term institutional support, impressive shared resources, and cutting-edge core facilities, including an extensive biorepository, patient-derived xenografts, genomic datasets, live cell imaging, human stem cells, cell sorting, advanced animal behavior assessment, and state-of-the-art imaging systems like Lattice Light Sheet & MOSAIC microscopes, 3D electron microscopes, and super-resolution modalities. CENOS faculty are housed in the Advanced Research Center, a facility designed for cutting-edge technologies and accelerated discoveries. The position offers a collaborative network of basic, translational, and clinical investigators.
