About The Position

The University of Connecticut (UConn) is seeking applications for a faculty position in the Department of XXX at the rank of XXX (tenured/tenure-track appointments at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor). Requirements

Earned Ph.D. in XXX or related field.
A proven record of excellence in teaching.
Demonstrated potential in establishing a successful research and scholarship.

Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable.

Responsibilities

Contribute to research and scholarship through extramural funding, high quality publications, impact as measured through citations, performances and exhibits, and national recognition.
Contribute to effective instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Develop innovative courses and instruction methods.
Mentor students in research, outreach, and professional development.
Broaden participation among members of under-represented groups.
Demonstrate commitment to and support of diversity in the learning experience through research, teaching, and/or public engagement.
Integrate multicultural experiences into instructional methods and research tools.
Provide leadership in developing pedagogical techniques designed to meet the needs of diverse learning styles and intellectual interests.
Faculty may also be asked to teach at one of UConn’s regional campuses as part of their ordinary workload.
