About The Position

The University of Connecticut (UConn) is seeking applications for a faculty position in the Department of XXX at the rank of XXX (tenured/tenure-track appointments at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor). Requirements

  • Earned Ph.D. in XXX or related field.
  • A proven record of excellence in teaching.
  • Demonstrated potential in establishing a successful research and scholarship.

  • Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to research and scholarship through extramural funding, high quality publications, impact as measured through citations, performances and exhibits, and national recognition.
  • Contribute to effective instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Develop innovative courses and instruction methods.
  • Mentor students in research, outreach, and professional development.
  • Broaden participation among members of under-represented groups.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and support of diversity in the learning experience through research, teaching, and/or public engagement.
  • Integrate multicultural experiences into instructional methods and research tools.
  • Provide leadership in developing pedagogical techniques designed to meet the needs of diverse learning styles and intellectual interests.
  • Faculty may also be asked to teach at one of UConn’s regional campuses as part of their ordinary workload.
