Your role as a Part-time LPN Join our team at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board as an LPN specializing in opioid treatment at our Hampton Roads Clinic. Be part of providing crucial outpatient treatment for adults with opioid dependence, offering comprehensive care, including medication management and psycho-social services. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited LPN nursing school.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • Strong background in medication administration, preferably in substance abuse treatment, psychiatric settings, or long-term care facilities involving narcotic medications.
  • Excellent assessment skills to evaluate both physical and mental health needs.
  • Proficiency in dispensing medications and monitoring clients' responses.
  • Ability to provide supportive counseling and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
  • One (1) year of experience in medication administration in a substance abuse treatment, psychiatric setting, or long-term care facility including the dispensing of narcotic medication.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
