About The Position

The Kenneth F. Kahn School of Law at High Point University seeks a full-time faculty colleague for its Legal Research and Writing (LRW) Program. The faculty member will contribute to the law school's intellectual environment and community, and will generally teach three sections of LRW I in the fall and three sections of LRW II in the spring, with approximately ten students in each section. Academic rank—assistant, associate, or full professor of law—and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. After an initial service period, the position is eligible for presumptively renewable five-year contracts, sometimes referred to as “clinical tenure” under American Bar Association Standard 405(c) and (d). The anticipated start date is August 1, 2027. The law school describes itself as committed to honoring God, family, and country while promoting free inquiry, professional excellence, and a faith-friendly community. It emphasizes holistic professional formation, collegial collaboration, and an innovative curriculum. Applicants should be interested in teaching and mentoring law students, legal writing pedagogy and scholarship, and contributing to the mission and vision of High Point University and its law school.
